This reminded me of my first job interview at 24. I was nervous, theoretically knew what to do but didn't have any exposure of a serious interview. Yes there were smaller flings for internships but that was a real deal😁
This took me back to 2001 when I pursued my internship at Lintas, Mumbai. Then Bombay Times offered me a job during another internship but I had the exact same situation - had to go to complete my master's. And eventually I never got back to them - came straight to the UAE to escape pestering relatives who were after my parents to get me married off soon! Sometimes I wonder how would my life be had I continued to work in Mumbai. I'd be keen to read more on your corporate journey, Khyati :)
hehe high five back at you Khyati! I enjoyed reading this so much - it's a fabulous metaphor. I remember purchasing a shirt and a tie combo just for giving these placement interviews. Surely there was much anticipation (and some fear) about this job, the Bombay life and a career in the entertainment business - even though the pay package was a let down.
Beautiful, Khyati!
Took me back to my time at 14th floor, Express Towers!!!
